And another great run! This inhaler is a life-saver. I was at the hospital yesterday for a pulmonary test and it is clear that something is wrong but exactly what that might be remains elusive to everyone. What is clear however is that using the inhaler works like a charm.

I was advised by the tech that did my tests yesterday that I am supposed to use the inhaler 15 minutes before running. I followed that today and ran smoothly right from the start. Where I couldn't get even a half mile up the hill on Mountain View a week ago, today I cruised right on up. I felt so good that I went through the gate at the top and out a mile further than usual.

It was a poignant moment when I reached the far point out on the trail where it opens to a superb view of the valley below. I am very sad to be leaving here. It is without a doubt the most beautiful place I have ever lived. Dry Creek Valley is truly a paradise. The fact that it is also home to several very fine friends makes it all the harder.

I shed a tear or two while pondering all this and then started back down the mountain. Almost straight away I spied three baby raccoons clinging to a tree right at eye-level. Sweet little beasts with pretty little bandit eyes staring solemnly at me. I have to say, this made my already wonderful morning exactly perfect. Life is good.
