OMG. This was a hard workout. And, as usual, I did not execute it well. If I have one talent, it is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing my enthusiasm... Workout was 2 miles warm-up, 3 miles tempo, 1 mile easy, 2 miles tempo, 1 mile easy, 1 mile tempo. It is kind of a laugh to even call a few of these miles "tempo". Honestly I don't think a mile is enough recovery for me between the 3 and 2-mile sections. Whatever. Inevitably the workout kicks my ass and I suppose that is the whole point.
Tempo miles:
Mile 3 = 8:48
Mile 4 = 9:18
Mile 5 = 8:41
Mile 7 = 9:55 (uphill mile but still sad)
Mile 8 = 9:11
Mile 10 = 9:49
