Legs felt sparky from the get-to today, always a helpful thing leading into a workout. Decided to keep the route simple and did mostly an out and back on the Cedar Lake Trail.

4 mile warm-up, and then 3 strides

16x 45 sec/90sec - goal was work into it, start around 3k, and then sorta see where it went from there. Overall I'm very pleased with it. It seems like my watch reports more variation in my paces than it felt like I had in my pieces, but I suppose that's to be expected- rolling trail, shorter segments, and then Anders also pointed out to me that sometimes I start to speed up before my watch beeps so that I'm at full tilt when the rep starts, and sometimes I wait until it beeps to start speeding up, and probably even that slight difference right there can make a big difference in my watches perceived pace in only a 45sec interval. Who knows. Bottom line is I felt fast and smooth and strong and my legs were turning over nicely. I feel like I hit the effort about right because I felt good, but reps 11-16 were tough. Some solid work got done today.
