Notes

Completion of a nice down week before my next three big weeks in a row in prep for CIM.

Accomplished a big workout on Wednesday, following a great race the previous weekend, and then got to enjoy about 5 days in a row of fairly easy running. It was much welcomed, especially over sat-sun with all the incredible celebration that took place.

This run in particular on Sunday afternoon was defined by Anders biking along beside me, and me spending the entire hour I was out re-living and recounting different parts of the weekend for him, and just gushing over how incredible my friends are. It was a good time.

It was also nice to feel like I got a mini 4 or 5 day mental break away from intense training, which is exactly what the down week was supposed to do.

This coming week holds a big marathon pace workout on Thursday and my longest run yet- a 20 miler, this coming Sunday. Lots to tackle and lots to look forward to. I'm glad the culmination and height of my marathon training, i.e. the next 3 weeks, is coinciding with the end of the cross country season and not the heart of it. Practices this week are short for the most part, giving me more time to get my own training in on the side, and we even don't have practice at all on Tuesday and Thursday.
