Had a relaxed and slow morning with Anders after a fun night on the town last night, and then I drove him to the airport mid afternoon. His knee did well this week, but running more than 4 days in a row would not have been a good idea, so he needed to take the day off, and I didn't want to spend any of my last few hours of his visit out running solo.

By the time I got back from the airport it was 5pm, I was starving, and it was pouring down rain. Gross.

So I decided to take the day off. Happy about the decision.

Also happy about it because it gave me a solid 5 hour window to get a lot of work done over the course of the night. This was good and necessary because of my putting off work over the last 5 days, AND because I just heard from my top choice of schools in MN that they are flying me home for interviews and a teaching demonstration this coming week, thursday-sunday. Not a great time in the semester to be taking off an flying home for 4 days, given that finals start next week, but oh well! Very excited about this job prospect!

HOORAY for super awesome and exciting job opportunities! That is outstanding, even if it makes your life even more chaotic than it already is.

I'm glad you had a great week with Anders. :)
