Notes

Against my coaches instructions, (sorry Nick), I did this workout today instead of tomorrow.

Here's my justification: The past week of running was all at 10,000ft and either up or downhill, and for the next week I'm going to be on a treadmill or a small hampster wheel on a cruise ship. Yes, I'll be running on the cruise ship, but this seemed like the best day by far to try to accomplish the workout.

We spent the afternoon and evening in Denver, at only 5,000 ft, a plethora of flat bike paths to choose from, hours to spare, and weather that was 50 and sunny. So I pulled an audible and did the workout today as opposed to tomorrow on a treadmill. And I felt great, so I'm not going to be too upset about it. (Nick, I promise I'll be a better pupil from here on out)

The workout was 10min, 10min, 5 min at date marathon pace, w/ 2 min jog recovery between each piece.

Each piece hovered around 7min pace, and that felt like marathon effort today. Legs felt great, even snappy, and breathing felt pretty good. I know I'm nowhere near race fit, but it feels good to be back on the training after a few weeks of easy mileage and easy running.

Got fitter today. That's what counts.

Lunges after, and strides (because I was supposed to do strides today)
