Watched and cheered for Anders and others racing the City of Lakes half marathon this morning. After I saw everyone and congratulated them and enjoyed the appropriate post-race festivities, I left them to mosey and waddle back to the start line and get going on their slog of a cool down, and I zipped to the car, dropped the gear bag, changed clothes, and got out for my own run. From the beginning I felt fresh and light, and I enjoyed the GORGEOUS running weather that we continue to have. The lake was very busy between post-race action and the normal twin cities natives out enjoying a beautiful sunday morning.

My first mile was 8:03, and then I had 3 in the low 7:40, 2 in the low 7:30's, and 2 in the 7:20's.

I don't write them because they are particular impressive, but its been a long time since I was confident enough on my legs to run 31 miles in 3 days, and a long time since I went out for an easy run and felt good enough to float and be relaxed at those kind of paces. It seems as though I am plagued by strange, bio-mechanics be changed- induced pains on most runs right now. And today it was fun to run confident on both legs, feel good and fit, and just cruise and run an easy 7.

Planning for an easy day tomorrow, and then hopefully another pain free week with 1-2 small workouts.
