Notes

Started the winter routes in Decorah today. Ran out through downtown and out Montgomery, and then ran the loop up by st bens school and finished coming down through town and running past my house on Jefferson. Ran with Tricia, Hannah, Lauren and Kaymi, it was a very fun group. Legs did not feel particularly good, but because of the company the run was enjoyable.

I think come the end of Tricia's Season I am also going to take a little bit of downtime. I haven't had any time off since January and I'm definitely starting to feel like I need just a bit of a mental and physical break. Mileage was pretty low last week, it will be fairly low again this week, and it still feels like a lot: the sign that it's time to take a breather!

I'm working on and planning for a training program for track season that starts in the beginning of December, so I'm going to consider the next couple weeks until then my down time.

Make the down time count when you take it. I learned that from you so don't betray it.

One of my favorite winter routes! I second Brenna's comments, sounds like you know what you'll need (and I'll be joining you in a few days--after I take advantage of one more opportunity to run in D-town). Also, the beginning of December is very soon...maybe you should give yourself a little longer? The track season is longggg.

P.S. 40+ miles a week does NOT count as all that low. Just saying (and I know I'm guilty of feeling this way too, but still...).

Yes B, I know you'll hold me to that, thanks for the reminder. Spooner, yes I'm not quite sure when I will start things up again. We'll see how the next couple/few weeks go. The cold will also probably help the downtime, hah :)
