Felt surprisingly good this morning for a run, a lift, and a bike yesterday, and then less than 5 hours of sleep. I didn't know what the morning would bring, but I was able to clip along and added 2 miles to the 6 mile loop I had planned. I'm sure tomorrow will be a little more rough, feeling the effects of tiredness and little sleep, but for now, I am very happy and very content :)

Today we have what's called a same day turnaround, probably our hardest and longest few days of the summer. Generally at the end of sessions campers leave at 10am one day, and the next session arrives around 2pm the next day, giving the staff a little more than 24 hours to rest, recuperate, clean, prep, and get the camp ready again. Today we have campers leaving at 10am and the next session of 80 kids arriving at 3. These are the hardest days for my position, but luckily we only have two this summer!

Last night I was up late, but found myself in a VERY giggly mood around 1 (ish), Gabe and I had about 25 minutes straight of solid giggling. Yes, I probably could have been to bed 25 minutes earlier if we hadn't laughed so hard for so long, but it was so theraputic, and absolutely the best part of my day. I desperately needed to laugh and giggle for that time, and there was nothing else that would have raised my spirits more, even sleep.

Looking forward to hopefully a little more relaxing week after the next few days are over!
