Notes

Lots to say about this race, not enough time to say it right this second, but I'll come back to it.

The short story is I was pleasantly surprised by my overall fitness. The race went much better than I had expected it would go. My final time isn't anything to write home about, and it was over 10 minutes off PR, which is disheartening. But its also given me some renewed motivation and desire to really be able to train hard again. I know I can do some really cool things over the next few months if I can keep this knee moving in the right direction.

The goal was to just run the first 8-9 miles, and then "race" somewhat the last 4-5.

Worked the 12th mile a little too hard, and the 13th one got a little bit more ugly because of it.

I think if I had flip-flopped miles 12 and 13, it would have been just about a perfectly executed race, given my current level of fitness.
