Had a great long run with Anders this afternoon, exploring some of the woods and trails around the Minnetonka area. It was about 30 degrees and sunny, and a fantastic temperature for running once you're out and about and moving.

We decided just to run for time on a few different rails systems, so I really have no idea how far we went. But we were out for an hour and a half, clipping along at a pretty good pace, and a decent amount of it was just a flat, crushed gravel path, so I think 7:30's is probably pretty close. My legs felt great! And it was fun to get in a long effort with a running buddy, as about 99% of my running in New Haven is solo. The only thing limiting my enjoyment was my stomach. We had planned to run around noon, so I had a mid morning snack but didn't eat lunch. Usually not a problem, but then we were hanging around with some friends and helping my parents move some furniture, and didn't end up getting out the door until 2. By the time we were finishing it was almost 4 o clock and the only thing I'd had to eat so far today was a bowl of cereal for breakfast, and a banana with some peanut butter. I got to that point when you're so hungry your insides just hurt, and then eating makes it worse before it gets better. But we simply used it as an excuse to eat a ridiculous amount of food and ice cream. No complaints there.

Ouch. I had a run like this last week. Empty stomach runs are tough, but I'm glad you had good company as a distraction. :)

Yey ice cream! Although, ice cream/milk immediately post run usually doesn't agree with me...
