Notes
Not a bad race. I have no idea what the time means because the course was long, but oh well. Maybe an 18:10 effort? First mile was up followed by down. Second mile was almost all down, and third mile was a little bit of down followed by a lot of up. I had a vague idea of going out slow and then working my way up to Sarah, but it turned out that we were 34 seconds apart at the end and she was the next person ahead of me. Behind me apparently there were a bunch of people taking turns trying to catch me but I never saw them. I did hear them though.
By halfway I was more focused on protecting my place than catching Sarah, which is for the best because she is head and shoulders ahead of me. Really not a bad race.
