I finally got it right. That was very, very hard. i started with Mark Hayes and ran the first two miles with him. Then I linked up with Jillian and ran to 8 with her. I took the steep hills from 8-16 very hard and was probably a mistake but it separated me from Jillian. I went through halfway in 1:22:16, which is my second fastest half marathon ever. I was sill feeling prey good at 20 but when the course flattened out my quads just couldn't take it anymore. I stayed on my feet and finished just over 2:45.
I am very happy and satisfied with this. Thus ends the best season - and year - of my competitive running life.
