Meet several other SEMO tri folks at the track. Two new girls, Taylor V, Brian P and Gene Magnus. The last two pretty much do their own thing.
We run 1.07 miles easy and then I explain our drill sets and striders and we all work through them. I send the newbies off to do some work and TV and I get down to work.... Today is 800m x 5 with 2 min rest breaks. Wanting to run 2:42-2:46 range.
1. 2:50; A little slow but first one is almost always off.
2. 2:42; Did not feel much faster than first but now wonder what the dropped time will do to the last 2 repeats
3. 2:41; in the groove now
4: 2:43; did not expect this one to be smooth but it was.
5: 2:38; whoa... no drop off in times from the beginning.
Turnover and breathing felt really good this morning. Finished with 1.50 miles on the track for cooldown.
