Tempo run today. Nice afternoon but windy.... It is Springtime.
Warmup of 2.35 miles around Arena Park perimeter in 18:23 then drills/striders(3) in :22/:27/:32 for total warmup of 2.85 miles.
Plan is 4-5 mile tempo run at around 12K-15K pace. First 2.5 miles didn't feel the wind much. Last 1.5 miles was eating it so decided 4 miles good enough for what I wanted to accomplish.
Tempo splits: 6:16/6:13/6:21/6:27 = 25:18 then cooldown of 1.50 miles in 12:10.
Legs felt a little heavy but expected that after Wed intervals.
