Notes

Cutdown tempo run today. Plan is first 4 miles @ 7 flat pace then after quick hydration break next 6 miles at HM pace and wanting to push the pace on the last 2 miles when tired. Route was around the small loop at Arena Park, down Hawthorne onto Old Hopper to Kingshighway, down around the subdivision past Lexington parking area, along the new part of north Osage trail and trail south back to Arena Park for 6 mile loop. Bram runs first 3 with me then splits off for some different interval runs.

Mile splits: 6:55/6:59/6:50/6:46 (27:29); 39 sec break for GU and 8 oz of water/gatorade then off for another 6 miles.

6 mile Splits: 6:26/6:26/6:26/6:25/6:20/6:15 for total elapsed time of 1:06:26 which included the 39 sec water break. Miles 2 and 3 of this portion in rolling hills. The rest of the course essentially flat.

10 mile running time of 1:05:47. Felt good and now need to taper correctly and hoping for a cool morning to race in 2 weeks.
