Notes
Awesome day even though some wind. Fartlek run that I saw described in a recent magazine. Began with a warmup mile then ran the first two minutes of the next 5 miles at tempo+ pace then backed off and jogged to the mile chirp then another 2 min at tempo+ pace.
2 min efforts = .35, .32, .34, .35, .34 miles respectively. Miles two and three with hills involved. Miles 2-6 paces ranged from 6:50 to 7:07. Did not feel that fast but I think the leg turnover from the first third-mile assisted with lower times even though feeling much slower to the brain.Seems like a good way to insert some 6-flat running into an otherwise easy run. Felt good. 727 calories.
Next up: my "long" run on Sat morning. Just over eight days until the Fight Back 5K/10K.
