cold and windy. 23 degree feel-like at race time. Too damn cold for my taste.
Standing at the start line and talking with Pfau and AJ. JW pushing a cart and don't see any other guys who will be bringing up the front line. Pfau is looking to do a tempo run and after asking me what I want to do tells me he will pace me through the race at/around 5:45 pace.
Mile splits of 5:45/5:47/5:49/and :37 sec for final .12 miles. 17:58 finish and 3rd OA. AJ passes me with approx .2 mile left.
age-graded = 81.43%. Hard to complain about that effort. Another sub-18 finish for the old man.
