3.5 total miles including easy drill set and three striders at end of run.

2015 year in review: Abbreviated racing schedule this year due to nasty plantar fasciitis issues in Feb/Mar/April. Finally subsided and finished the final 5 months with some solid races.

____________________________________________________________________

My Team Triumph: New Year's day 5K: 17:58 finish and 3rd OA

President's Day 3 miler: 17:29 and 2nd OA; The beginning of my plantar fascia issues and torched me for several months.

Osage Center biathlon: 400yd swim/3 mile run: OA champ in a small field with a 3 mile run of 18:31

Ballwin sprint Tri: first race as a 50's runner: 5th OA in pretty deep field and 1st age-group. Despite the success, screw triathlons.

Dutchman's Dash 5k race: OA champion in 17:36 and huge beer mug for the victory. More like it!

Humane Society 4 Miler: OA champ with a great personal time of 23:22

City of Roses 5K race: OA champ with finish time of 18:02. Couldn't crawl under the 18 min mark and may not again.

Colorfest 5K race as part of biathlon team: 1st OA finisher on run portion with a 18:22 in a good, solid effort.

Run for a Cure 5K race: 2nd OA to a 20 y/o former collegiate runnner. Time of 18:06 crushes the field age-graded.

Run for One More 10K race: OA champ with a 38:45 on a 2 loop course with a nasty hill on each loop.

Run for God 5K race: 2nd OA in 18:19; again beaten by a young 20's runner. Poor racing tactics in this one may have made it closer/different.

Once I recovered from the PF issues I was able to train up to some decent times. Moving into the 50's age-group didn't hurt anything. Hit 80% age-graded on several races when plugging in garmin distances/finish times - that is always a big deal for me personally as it shows what I am doing as I continue moving up in age. Ended up with 1321 miles for the year but did alot of cross training and solid mileage considering down time during Feb/Mar/April months.

Began biking more and doing much more consistent core strengthening and that will be one of the keys moving forward for as long as my L abdominal region stays intact. Once I have to have hernia surgery on L side will reassess entire racing scene.

Although didn't run in any "big" events this year able to piece together some good races. Between the 2 old CBEGM farts no one locally was able to take us down age-graded in any of our races. Mr. Hahn may have something to say about that in 2016.
