Call this a lesson in Garmin. Instead of switching screens to show my Lap Pace (goal of 8:36), I kept in on current pace. I tried to keep it close, but the pace swung wildly. With about .3 mi left to go in my 2 miles, I flipped to the lap pace sceen...8:46!!! I picked up the pace and got it down to 8:39.

Still, lesson learned!

I will be stepping up my weekly milage next week. I will run 16 miles for two weeks, 1 down week and then at least 20 miles a week after that.
