Notes

Workout: 5 x 1200 @ AP (4:07-4:15)/ 2 min rest + 5 x 200 @ 35-38/200 jog (5 min set rest)

Note: 2nd and 4th 1200 was actually 1209 meters as went to mile marker

Overall pretty happy with this workout. Legs felt a bit tired in the warmup but had a good mindset going into the workout so felt I would run strong. Had relatively wide pace range as well Although I wanted to be around 4:10 avg. The high end of the range is what I would like to avg for the midnight road race but is high end of JD's AP range right now. Took off smart for the first one running 85 with the 3rd 400 being faster. Went in thinking I would start with 3 min rest but felt I recovered quick so went with 2 minutes. On rep 2 and 3 I started at 82-83 seconds for the first 400 which maybe caught up to me later on but still running smooth. Rep 4 is where I felt the workout kick in. Before 600 meters legs were feeling it. Don't think I did the best to stay in the moment and thought a little to far ahead instead of running strong and staying in the current rep. Finished 4 pretty out of breath and stomach rough. Still recovered decent and took off on 5 being conservative with the idea of getting to 800 meters then picking it up. Last 400 was around 80 or 81 so feel good about that.

200s i did first as a lap then did the rest just on the first 200. Actually felt a little stronger on them as I went except on 5 I did push just a little. Longest AP interval workout in terms of doing 1200s that I have done in a while and think it will be beneficial.
