Workout: 5 miles @ Marathon/AT effort (6:40-7:10) + run to pinnacle after
1- 6:34.7, 2-13:08 (6:34.0), 3- 19:37 (6:29.4), 4- 26:06 (6:28.5), 5-32:35 (6:28.9)
2 mile warmup and I was feeling good so the range above was really narrowed down to wanting run under 34 for the 5 miles and get as close to 6:40 avg as possible. Hit the first half in under 3:17 feeling easy so knew it would be good. Tried to relax but hit the mile at 6:34 and I figured I would just keep the same effort and see where that lead. Over the next couple miles I got a little quicker without really trying. When I hit 3 without a fade like I was doing last summer and early fall I was pleased and just wanted to run under 33. Felt the hill in the last mile but not to bad. Overall I am really happy with this workout. I know a little quicker then the goal but I am trying not to overthink and also I know I am stronger aerobically then the 2k shows. This was the easiest Marathon tempo over the last year and the fastest by far.
