What a disastrous ride. Half of Winchester Street was closed due to road works. The traffic police told me to ride on the sidewalk, which I did, but it was difficult and at one point, I had to go on the paved road since the road sign was covering the sidewalk. There was a lot of traffic most of the way, not sure why. On the way back at around mile 15, got a flat tire on the rear. Changed the tire and rode back cautiously. Heavy traffic getting back into Newton.
