Was supposed to be 14, but Mother Nature had other plans. Started raining around Navy Pier, and _really_ started coming down around the Aquarium. At this point, it started to feel a little dangerous, so I ducked into the Planetarium for shelter. It wasn't long afterward that the tornado sirens started wailing throughout the city. I waited out the passing of the worst of the storm, then decided to just head back. The rain almost ended by the time I got back to the North Avenue beach, and it was a nice little (soggy) sprint home.
Multiple fire, police and ambulance trucks plus a rescue boat on the lakeshore doing some kind of operation. I first thought maybe a person (or even a car) got blown into the lake during the worst of the storm. Never did figure out what happened.
