Notes

Some days are diamonds some days are rocks.

Walk of shame. Did not have it today. Read that only a third of the field BQ'd and the average time was 10 minutes higher this year vs last. Out ran my bib number so I got that going for me. Great experience, thanks to everyone for your support.

Nice running with Greg. Wheels came off at 17, but I new that I was in trouble at the half even though I was spot on for pace. Bad feeling with 13 to go. I told myself I would run to the top of heartbreak hill, then to mile 22. Tried to make it to 23 but had to take a walk break. Gave up and walk ran the rest no need to kill myself as my time was shot. Made it down Boylston with out walking. Dizziness set in when I stopped and the foil blankets were so bright I was snow blind. Very disorienting.

Noel and Madison cheered me on, great spotting them. Laurie and Richard got to witness my walking shame.. Peter H ran with Greg and I for many miles and offered lots of encouragement.

Been there, done that. You'll be back.

Good news is you get another opportunity in just a few weeks. I'm sure it was cool to be there. And by cool, I mean hot.

I was hot sitting at home, so I figured you all were in for a potential slog fest. Great effort though.

Scorps

You'll be back. Congrats on the finish

Just getting to this Mike. It was great running the first half with you. Sorry I could not encourage you after that. Let's hope for a "do over" next year.
