May 4, 1989 I saw Dave Letterman at the Chicago Theatre, guests included Jay Leno and Michael Jordan. I watched Dave every night back then. When they announced the Chicago shows I had my post card in the mail the next day. It was a genuine thrill when the tickets came in mail. Those of you running the Chicago marathon will get to run right by that vey spot. I always wanted to watch the space shuttle lift off and take a trip to NYC and see a Letterman show. I have now lost my opportunity, failure on both accounts. If I ever get another idea I am going to jump on it instead of wasting my life away.
Two weeks off from running and my leg has not improved. I knew it a quarter mile into the run. Very frustrating. I don't have time for pt and bike riding and all that business. I might have to make like Tyson and fade off into Bolivia.
