Brutally hard workout of the week. And it was supposed to be simple 8 mile recovery jog. But when you just ran 16 miles that you finished a mere 4 hours before this run and the sun is at high noon with the wind blowing like a mother at 82F in freakin' December and you need to finish the run with a 100+ ft climb into the headwind it tends to make you regret picking up running as a hobby. Plus I'm sure the 93+ miles ran in the last 6 days prior to this run had something to do with it. But hey, if you want to run like the big boys you gotta train like the big boys. And since tonight I'm going to a party I had to get this run in when I cuold which was during my son's soccer practice. And that is all there is to it. As my friend, Todd, says "Suck it up, buttercup!".
