Good workout today.

For DB shoulders I take the weights off the rack in a standing position. I sit on the bench, balance the weights vertically on my knees, as far out from my body as I can get them. I get ready and then shove the weight in the air using my legs as lifting power. Honestly at 70+ lbs I have a spotter (or two) who is helping stablize me on the first rep. Anything under that I can do solo. I could be doing more weight but the sheer issue of size is concerning. You could use the Smith machine.
