Notes
Was a really good race in my first race back after a 15 month layoff. It was the Run to the Son race at Parkview Baptist Church in Tulsa. The course was nice, through a neighborhood. First part was downhill and came back uphill. Splits were 8:10, 8:11, 7:58, 1:05 (7:13/mi). Ran with Kacee Vogt and Ashly Roberson. Ashly and Kacee both got PRs and Ashly won 3rd in her age group.
My overall effort was good. I feel like I ran a smart race and didn't leave much on the course. The race was well organized and everyone was friendly. I saw a guy puke at then end of the race which was good for me because it allowed me to pass him. I had some shin splints through most of the race but better that than oxygen debt. Will probably try to run Run for the Mums on October 11.
