Stress, Recovery. That first mile was ludicrously slow. I just went out the door running at whatever pace got me moving. By the middle of the second mile I was considering running my 8 mile loop, but thought better of it and settled for a recovery run. The top of my left foot had been hurting all day. That's not unusual - maybe my laces are too tight.
