Notes

Felt really good, fought the urge to run too fast. Though after 10 miles, I tried to pick up the pace a bit, attempting to turn this run into a 3/1. Worked for 2 miles but as has been usual for me in the last few LSD's, I hit the wall at 2 hours. It seems that no matter how far I run in the first 2 hours, I hit the wall there every time. Right now the trick for me, I believe, will be to learn to run after I have hit that wall. One way around it, sometimes, is to eat while running so as to not reach that point. But my goal right now is to teach my body to metabolize fat, and hitting the wall tells me that I have depleted my glycogen stores forcing my body to rely more on the fat-burning process. That is why it hurts to run after hitting the wall. To improve my marathon time, I need practice running with this "pain".
