Wow, I can't believe how awesome this run felt! First my glutes are still really sore from Tuesday's Fit Camp that just walking up the stairs hurts, so I wasn't really expecting much on this run. I just wanted to get out there to get loosened up for Saturday's 5K race so you can imagine the surprise I had when I finished an "easy" 5K run and ended up with a new PR. In fact, I still can't believe it.
I guess all those hilly routes and the hot mid-day runs are paying off. Not to mention, I think this is either my third or forth continuous run over 30 minutes since I started running 3 years ago and negative splits at that! Now I'm just hoping I can do this well for Saturday's race when it actually counts.
