A sub 33 min 5K in the summer that I didn't train for, I'll take it! This race was definitely worth the $5 entry fee which was the only reason I decided to do this race. I wasn't even expecting to do well since I was on tired legs and still recovery from Thursdays bike ride. Plus my calves and hamstrings were really tight when I woke up too so I did lots of warming up and stretching pre-race. But I have to go back to May 31st for my last sub 11 min pace 3+ mile run and it was what I needed to get excited about my fall training knowing that I'm going to be setting new PRs this fall! My "clock time" was 33:05. Garmin "chip" time was 32:50.
