I did the always brutal "mile by 200s" workout today. Good thing I only pull this out once or twice a year. I threw in 2 x 800 after the 2 sets of 200s, just to make it even harder on myself. I'm trying hard to build some miler speed. I was pretty good on the first set 8 x 200 but on the second I was definitely laboring. That 30-second rest between the 200s doesn't give you much time to recover. Glad it's done but I only have a few hours to recover in time for the Life Time group run.
