WOW.
What a workout. Let me just say the VFF's were BALLER! Felt so strong and allowed some vicious recoil in my achilles/calf that felt awesome since there is no heel to get in the way.
I severely underestimated the difficulty of this course. Ran the first mile of the 8k course at Greenfield. So the difficult hills/footing coupled with the intense humidity made me have to really listen to my body to ensure I didn't work too hard for tempo effort.
I was ready to stop after the 3rd one so to prevent those thoughts I decided it would be fair to take an extended recovery and turns out it was a good idea. The three massive football teams practicing all over the field was helpful as they were all laughing at my short shorts, which really did motivate me.
