Miami Half Marathon
This is what started it all. I honestly had no business being here, but I'm super glad my friend convinced me to enter this thing, even if I had to walk most of it. I didn't die like I thought I would, and I felt really good once I actually crossed the finish line and realized that I had actually accomplished that of which I doubted myself on for so long! I actually surprised myself and ran much more than I anticipated. It was an amazing event and an amazing experience, and one that certainly ignited a passion to see exactly how far I could take this running thing if I practice at it!
Humbling Passing Experience of the Race: Being passed by two men, aged 68 and 69, strolling by me like I was standing still, talking about how "They just can't keep up like they used to." :-P
