                        i have to save myself for yankee. it will be my primary focus and my only road race that mattahs this summah...a raced 5k will pose too much of a threat for injury towards othah endeavours.

                          4/25/2011 (Post Boston):  Ease back into easy mileage for a while, mentally/physically reboot.  Race a bunch of 5K-5M this summer.  Resist the call of the triathletes.  Get myself back into decent shape by fall, maybe race HM at Portland or Baystate.  Try to get into Boston 2012, most likely failing.  Run a Feb-May marathon somewhere in sub 3:10 to qualify for 2013 so I can get a do-over. 

                           

                          Lance and others:  I hope you will join me on Wednesdays this summer for the Portland Back Cove 5k Series.  I did this a few times last year and always enjoyed it.  Running the same course with a familiar field adds to the incentive to improve one's time. 

                           

                          My next marathon is NY with Tall Dave in November, so that means a HM either at Portland or Baystate.  I might consider a full at Portland, but I would have only 10 weeks of training in, and I fear it would not be wise before NY.  I hope you get the do-over at Boston in 2012.  I think a lot of us want a do-over, but none more than you.

                            Make TI Track Team:  goal time for 1mile= 5:10, 5K= 17:39, 10k= 35:39

                            Lower weight to 144

                            As of 6/18:  152.4, No times yet.

                             

                            Total 2000K

                             

                            Hit the 5K circuit and see if I can get back under 17:30 by the end of summer.

                               I stil plan to do the Ironman -- I'll start training in early August. In the mean time I'm going to hit the track.

                              I was asked to join the Texas Instruments Corporate Track team with will run at Nationals - meeting outside San Francisco the weekend before I come to Maine -- July 23 & 24th.  I need to loose close to 10 pounds and that still wouldn't but me at my 2010 Boston weight.

                              So I better get my butt in gear an start running and hit the track too.

                               

                              FYI-- I'll be in Maine for a few hours and plan to do a track workout at 8am -- Saturday July 1st!!  

                              I'll be there for the Tuesday run on July 26th.
