Hello 2009!!!
I'm training as of today for the May 30th Newport Oregon marathon. My goad is 2 hours 50 minutes! I can do this for three reasons.
1. I had a little gas in the tank on my last marathon, therefore I could have picked up the pace just a bit.
2. I ran for the first 3 miles above 8 minutes which means I must have been running either below 7 minute pace or very close to 7 minutes for the remaing 23 miles.
3. I had ot expend a lot of energy at the begging of the race weaving in and out of traffic. I believe that this alone could save me between 3 and 5 minutes.
With this qaulification I will run NY and Boston!
