How bizarre was that first k? I thought I was going slow and then it was a 4:30. Made me really excited that I might actually go under 19 tomorrow. Then that 5:09...but that's ok. I feel better, though hungover, before this race than I have before any race since I started training with purpose.
Just strides. 10 seconds, 50 metres and whatever else felt natural. Didn't count them or anything.
Oh, and when it got to 5.8 or whatever, I just walked it in, did some fun but bizarre looking drills I'm trying to observe off the Ethiopians. Thoroughly obsessed.
