Ran with John Walsh, really enjoyed it. He did most of the talking, but I wasn't suffering it. All around I would say that this run felt a little less casual than Monday, but in a good way. Maybe this is the 70% I've been falling short of? It's felt 6/10 in the past, but today was a 7. Imagine that 4:41 for the last km - I don't normally run that fast when I'm on an easy run.
Funny that the pace with John was so all over the place - it's not like that when I'm by myself. I guess we're responding to each other and maybe our watches in different ways. Slowing it down for the third kilometer, for example, was totally my call. Anyway, more adventure, more learning.
Afterwards I went to Rudy's 30th and talked WAY too much about running, but it was nice. I will have to stop doing that as much someday. Some day in the future.
Oh, and we capped it off with strides, which is way more fun with a friend.
