I did a long run around Mary Clare's house today, I had a 13 miler mapped out but I got lost and ended up doing a couple more. I basically killed myself on this run; it was so hot and extremely humid, and I did the first hour of the run way faster than I wanted to. The route was also a whole lot hillier than I thought it would be. This is the first run in a long time where I had to take a couple walking breaks towards the end, just because I was absolutely wiped out. I'm pretty confident that I could have handled the distance a lot better if I hadn't been pushing so hard early on in the massive heat.
