It was time to exorcize the demons from Monday's run. I repeated my Thursday workout from two weeks ago (1 mile warmup, 1 mile fast, 1 mile cooldown). The results were similar in overall time, but my fast mile was faster (6:42 today, compared to 6:54 two weeks ago). And man, did it hurt! Not the 'injury' kind of hurt, but the 'this feels too much like racing' kind of hurt. Satisfying, though.
