Knee Crepitus (Read 822 times)

Driver, Runner, Bestie

I've got this grinding in my knees. Its painless, but when I am sitting down and bend my knee, you can literally hear the grinding, as well as feel it. Is this something that needs to be looked at or is it part of being 40 years old? Thanks for any advise you all wise runners have.

It is likely arthritis. Part of being 40.

Take glucosamine....it either helps the knees stop creaking or it makes your hearing less acute. Big grin

Was part of being 15 for me too. I've had knee crepitus for more than 20 years... it's not something I've bothered to worry about though.

Good to hear that you haven't had any problems, Chris. It doesn't bother me painwise at all. Its just a little weird to be creaking and grinding.
