The treadmill is unbearable without music. Give Me The Beat Boys by Bill Withers is probably my favorite running song, but most classic rock works for me. I am another old guy that doesn't like much of the new music, although Adele is good. Here are some other favorites that are on my running playlist:
Ride Captain Ride - Blues ImageHooked On A Feeling - Blue SwedeDown On The Corner - CCRMaybellene - Chuck BerryTake It To The Limit - Eagles
Fight The Future
I recommend anything by Joe Satriani (start with OneBigRush or Surfing with the Alien). Especially if you slightly alter the tempo to match your cadence.
Mostly harmless
A band called The Gourds made a very funny country version of Snoop Dog's Gin and Juice. For some odd reason I really like to run to this song. Warning, explicit lyrics. Not safe for listening at work or in front of the kids.

"It doesn’t matter how often you do it or how much you accomplish, in general, not running is a lot easier than running." - Meb Keflezighi

Village people
you really can't go wrong with anything Calvin Harris related.
I agree.
Oh roo roooo!
This is hilarious! Now I'm wasting time looking at the other songs by them--"Back in Black" almost made me fall off my chair laughing!
And they are on Itunes. Go Hayseed Dixie!
Thats rad
Foo Fighters.
Which song?
All of them.
Running the bath
Foo Fighters. Which song? All of them.
Especially Everlong (for me, anyway )

Everlong would have to go up there in the top all time anything songs, even though I'm tired of it after all these years.
My favorite running song is "Panic Prone" by Chevelle. It has the feeling of driving on through something challenging.
Rocky music: start your run with the opening fanfare and end it with Gonna Fly Now. If you time it right, your final kick will line up with when Rocky climbs the steps and has in arms in the air triumphantly. You can even throw in "Eye of the Tiger" in the middle of the run to help you with hills, inclement weather or what have you.
Warning: be careful not to download the theme from Rocky and Bullwinkle by mistake.
Mandy - Barry Manilow
“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” - T.S. Eliot
Totally showing my age but some of my favourites that get high rotation are...
Plug Tunin' - De La Soul
Sabotage - Beastie Boys
Where's Your Head At - Basement Jaxx
Anything by the Chemical Brothers
Tom's Diner - Suzanne Vega & DNA
Move (feat. JDubs) - Concord Dawn
Being a slow runner means I get to check out YOUR butt...
