Weighed in last night after vacaion = 257

I got a lot of exercise on Vacation in Arizona.  My Dad eat's a low card diet to control his pre-diabetes and does not eat much.  So my running / hiking along with not eating that much was a nice program for last week.

60.6 Miles and ~ 5,900 vertical.  This week some of it was realy veritcal (Both up and down) the down was hard on the technical trails and my quads were sore most the vacation.

Long dead ... But my stench lingers !

I am only 100# heavier than the average Hurtlocker hosehead!

Not sure I will ever see a weight that starts with a 1 again ... unless it has 4 places.

The month of March is gonna be a good one !  Time to increase my efforts to de-fat !

Less ice and snow - More great weather days (Not today - 4 inches of snow today).

                      I love 40-60F to run ...

BTW - I find it humorous when goal weight is within 10# of actual weight ... You all live a different life than I do.  10# is beer and pizza Fridays Smile

The path is very narrow when you travel ! ~ If you are lucky enough to only work 10 hour days and be somewhere you can actually work out ... It can be good ...

                          For me to be good

                          *  Work only 10ish hours

                          *  avoid free beer / wine at hotel

                          * do not go out to eat with co-workers

                          * workout and then eat light ~ No snacks in hotel

But I had some good inside and outside options within 10 minutes of my hotel.  One park with a great 2.8 mile paved loop, another with about 7 miles of technical hilly trails.  A YMCA within 15 minutes, a Gold Gym for $5 if stay at hotel within 10 minutes.  a 200 foot vertical hill right outside the hotel to a residential area.

I could be really really good or really really bad ... but it was much easier being bad.

Maybe the hardest part is being out of my routine.  Well, that and I've traveled to a place where I lived for 12years . . . so there are lots of people to see.  Which means lots of free beer and delicious meals.

THough, I thought it was funny that I could only run 2miles from my hotel without entering pitch black.  Living in Chicago you get used to the light pollution, and its benefits.

I have never lived more than 1/2 mile from farm fields and pitch black at night.  I have visited Chicago a few times ... too much concrete, people ... well everything.

So you can substitute "Old friends" for my co-worker rule ... Don't any of them run?  Earn your food and beer with a good group run.

255 ... again.  I need to eat better and cut out the 3 beer nights ... It is not acceptable that I run 100+ miles and do not lose weight!
