Looking absolutely dashing, Tomas! A year seems like not long enough for so many changes in someone. Hard to believe... Wow!

Docket - I actually see it most in the face. Truly awesome.
Here is me in May 2011, about to walk my first 5K. I am in the green shirt. I had already lost 10 pounds or so, and I was stoked to be able to walk the distance. I trained for it, just to be able to walk it, and was tired for the rest of the day afterwards. Here I am in April, 2013, finishing my first half:

Zelanie - holy crap, that is amazing.
I say this every time the topic comes up, but I am truly impressed by anyone who runs & loses weight at the same time. The last thing I can imagine doing while logging a lot of miles is cutting back on calorie intake. Or even keeping it constant.

I have shared some photos on the other thread, but let's make this race specific.
I dont know where photos are of my first race are
it was a 4.5 miler on 5/5/12

Thanks- and when I started I did it for a really stupid reason, but I wont enterain yall with it here
Dad on the run.
I don't think any reason to lose weight is stupid. We all have our motivations regardless what they are. If it got you off your butt and losing weight then I think it was a pretty damn good reason.
Chasing the sub 20 5K.
Mostly harmless

+1 Time to confess.
short version- i had a facebook friend that said he did 3 days of green juices and lost 7 lbs. I said he was full of shit. I tried it and lost 10 lbs in 3 days and was like what...I dont have to be fat forever. I dropped 60 lbs from Jan 18- April 2nd. April 3rd I started a C25K program that I modified to do a 4.5 mile race on may 5th.
Great work everybody. I love these threads.

I think all of you have seen these before, but here you go. The first one is from January 2011. I was about 205 pounds at that point. I gained about another 20 pounds and hit an all-time high in April 2011. The second one is November 2012.
Personal Bests:
800M - 2:38 (5/28/13) | 1 Mile -5:54 (5/28/13) | 3K - 11:55 (12/29/12) | 2M - 13:00 (12/1/12) | 5K - 20:00 (4/12/13) | 13.1M - 1:37:24 (2/3/13)
Did you see Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead?
Here's me at around 230#. I ballooned another 20, before I started doing something about it. And, two weeks ago after finishing my first Half! Currently sitting at 198#
They'll tell you that failure is not an option. That's ridiculous. Failure is always an option. It is the easiest and most readily available option. It's your choice though.
I was anxiously waiting to see if we would be blessed by LTH's white pants and red shirt picture.:-) So glad he posted it! What a badass transformation!
I think my race pictures indicate quite clearly that I have no fashion sense (or sensibility) at all.
Short term goal: 17:59 5K
Mid term goal: 2:54:59 marathon
Long term goal: To say I've been a runner half my life. (I started running at age 45).
