Are we there, yet?
Of course, if wcrunner2 slips further next week, that may give Lauren 10 more points and allow them to retake the lead .... unless Fredford66 has another really big week and surrenders 10 StdDev points to me.
I don't know about Fredford66, but I will have another very low mileage week. I will probably end my 65 month streak of 100 miles or more this month.
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K, 9:11:09 05/25 - What the Duck 12-Hour
06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.

Sorry to hear about the possible end to your streak. I have a similar one (i.e. 100-mile months) that I'd be disappointed to see end.
5k 23:48.45 (3/22); 4M 31:26 (2/22); 5M 38:55 (11/23); 10k 49:24 (10/22); 10M 1:29:33 (2/24); Half 1:48:32 (10/22); Marathon 4:29:58 (11/23)Upcoming races: Greta's Run 5k, 5/19; Scotch Plains 5k, 6/12
Week 39 - Some changes in the standings this week. wcrunner's fall in StdDev happened as predicted, letting BerthaSlayer move up to 6th and sdWhiskers climb to 7th. Fredford66's big weekly mileage lost him an StdDev spot, letting Half Crazy K 2.0 retake 3rd while giving Quickadder a bigger lead in 1st place. DanFuller moved past Bluerun.
Recovery is going far slower than expected or hoped, so I expect several more low mileage weeks. I'm anticipating a year end total of somewhere between 1700-1800 miles, far short of the 2020 average over the last 3 years.

Guess my aim is to be DFL
chasing the impossible
because i never shut up ... i blog
Just remember, if you have a bad/low year, that likely means a lower target and chance for more points next year.
Nah, if this current trend continues (as it likely will, it's been almost two years) I'll be the DFL champion
Week 40 - An unusually low week from our 2nd place runner; I hope nothing's wrong. Another high miles week for Fredford66 resulted in another switch with Half Crazy K 2.0. Cyberic and LRB trade places. KCRuns posted 26.2 miles; a marathon?
Week 40 - An unusually low week from our 2nd place runner; I hope nothing's wrong. Name Miles Points StdDev StdDev Pts. Total Quickadder 692 23.23% 80 772 Lauren. 709 30.75% 40 749

I'm suspecting another case of delayed posting. Have you checked their log?
Started running at age 60.

What's in the log is in the report I run.

I follow Lauren on Strava and it looks like she was north of 60 miles last week.

Then I guess I'll catch up when she finally logs it on RA and I do one of my periodic retroactive reviews. I doubt it will change the standings given Quickadder also got max points.
Week 41 - Sorry, I'll have to take a pass on the usual analysis this week. Baboon was right about Lauren.'s mileage from week 40. Changes to StdDev rankings are still affecting the contest.
Week 42 - No problem about an analysis this week. No change in the standings since last week.
Since 2023 end on a Sunday this year, there will be no gap between the end of the 2023 game and the start of the 2024 game. That said, there is sometimes a lag in logging all miles, so I plan on posting preliminary 2024 goals on New Year's Day and then firming them up later, probably the following weekend. I'll probably post 2023 results that weekend as well, to allow time for all miles to be logged.
Without any prorating, it looks like Danfuller, Lauren., and Quickadder will see increased goals for 2024. With pro-rating, others likely to see increases include Fredford66 and Half Crazy K 2.0. At this point, the rest of the field seem likely to get decreased goals, though a lot can still happen in 10 weeks (23.8% is a big prorating adjustment).
I'll have a big decrease. I expect my final total to be around 1600 miles, maybe less, my lowest since 2018.
