Oh my freaking God!!!! This morning's 5k was rainy, cold and I had to pee the whole time. I PR'd at 25:26 according to the clock time (my garmin says 25:29), with an average pace of 8:12 min/mile. I got a phone call around mile 2, didn't answer it and right at the finish I got another call and answered. It was my vet, Rocky's heartworm tests came back positive, and they wanted Rocky back in to test him again so all I could think about was getting back home and taking him to the vet. Little did I know....... I won 1st place in my age group!!!!!!
I have a freaking trophy waiting for me at the Town Hall, my first freaking trophy!!!!!! I would put more but...............
I can't stop smiling, this is so awesome and just unbelievable, I didn't expect to get a trophy or even have a chance until my 40's but I got a trophy at 25 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Out of 196 finishers I placed 45th, out of 100 female finishers I placed 9 and then out of 13 I placed 1st in my age group!!!!!! This is so awesome, I can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
