Good morning!
I ran 3.2 miles. I didn't even want to get up and do that, but habit is a strong force.
I hope everyone has a great day!

'Morning. Morning swim postponed to an afternoon swim followed by an afternoon run. It is Monday morning and it is raining, so yeah.

MonDAILIES: ...
I agree. Just a blah, drab day made worse by cold winds, gray skies, rain and work. But hey, "At least it's not snowing." Yeah, and it's not raining acid, either.
No running for me today but I have red cord at 1:00. I am not looking forward to my 20 minute interval on the Eccentron. It was great when the intervals were less than 10 minutes, but ever since I jumped to 15 minutes that thing has SUCKED.
Ran 10.75 easy, with the last 3 in the wind and cold rain. Bleh.

18 miles on the trainer. I am down to one usable extremity (my right hand).
And I have whiplash because apparently I really hit the ground hard yesterday. I am so talented.

With your fragile bones, why do trail running? Isn't it running (pun intended) after trouble?
I'm allegic to shell fish, I don't eat sushi!

Not if you're as careful as I am... and since I apparently tripped over nothing, it could have happened anywhere.
Ok, was just wondering.

Good morning everyone, March is almost over
I got new shoes last Friday, and I cannot wait to try them out during an easy 2-3 mile run this afternoon. Hopefully my hamstrings and glutes have recovered from my stupidity last week. My training cycle for the Harmonie Trail Marathon starts this week, and I really need to get back to running and get my mileage up.

Did you wear the Ravenna 6? How do they compare?
I'm going back to the Ravenna from the Asics GT 2000's, I actually started out wearing the Ravenna back 2010-2012 before they changed and I ended up in the GT 2000s.

When is it?
May 28, it will be much slower with more walking. Though I've discovered that trail races are easier to recover from than road races, but I still did something stupid last week that irritated my hamstring and glute area - the Kettlebell Swing has you slightly squatting and I did way to many of them that soon after the marathon. I'm feeling much better now but I am going to just amp things up slowly. I've got like 9 weeks until the Harmonie Marathon, so I'll see how things go this week and then try for a 12-13 mile long run on Saturday or Sunday and if all goes well I'll up the LR 2 miles more each week with a cutback week in there (you'll see it), then start the taper on May 16 so it should look like this:April 2 - 12-13 miles
April 9 - 15 miles
April 16 - 17 miles
April 23 - 14 miles
April 30 - 18 miles
May 7 - 20 miles
May 14 - 16 miles
May 21 - 12 miles
I think I got it all there, I've got a training plan on here but I've got to take a look at it and rework anything I need to. It's not going to be a fast marathon, probably slower than the LBL because I expect it to be very warm.... in other words... I expect to die
I wish this race was in July, then I could really use it as a training long run for the 50 miler in September... but sadly I'll have no other long races after the Harmonie Trail Marathon. Any really long LRs will have to be done by myself and on a loop.
Oh and onemile, I did run in my blue Ravenna 7's and I really like them. They aren't as "stiff" or too much support compared to the GT 2000's but still have a bit to make it comfortable for me.
