And 165 days with fog. Damn.
Wow, that's a lot. It doesn't often get foggy here, but when it does it's pea soup.

So Cal......we pretty much whine a lot but really it's nice weather most of the time. Most folks laugh at us cuz we complain that it's into the 40's in winter but it does get well into the 100's here during summer.
Sometimes weird stuff happens like El Niño conditions, etc. but for the most part, it's more hot than anything else. (I recall having Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays in shorts).
I don't know if there's such thing as perfect climate but.....

not much snow in the city. It's good for running.

I feel blessed in terms of temps, but look at the number of rainy days!!! Note there is no snow. Anyway, you can see why I die when I visit countries with more extreme temperatures. I'm just not used to it.

KiwiRunner - Yes, you have 208 days of rain but only 2 of them with thunderstorms. Meanwhile, back in the South, of 156 days of rain, 48 days you will encounter thunderstorms. Running in the rain is delightful unless you are dodging thunderbolts. :

Ha! I had someone freak out on me once because I took my daughter out without a coat. It was a few days after Christmas. It was 65 degrees.

Where are you guys seeing the thunderstorm days? I cannot see mine and I assume mine is high because there are 5 months of rain season and thunderstorms.
www.weatherspark.com is also very nice as it gives you averages for everything from dewpoint, rain, cloud cover, etc., to actual average temps.

We get four distinct seasons of seasonal weather and I love that.

Nevermind. Here is my full climate profile.
As I have always said, % of humidity is misleading. Look at mine., those 60% are really days of 77-80 dewpoints.
No data here...I live in the boonies.
Sloooow.
